Amalfi Coast & Positano
Wedding Videographer on the Amalfi Coast
The Amalfi Coast does not photograph like anywhere else in Italy. A single road carved into the cliffs connects a string of villages that each face the Tyrrhenian Sea at a different angle and a different hour, so the same wedding weekend can hold a sunrise over Sorrento, a sunset over Positano, and a candlelit dinner above Amalfi town ... three completely different films in three days.
We have filmed along this coast, including Russell and Nina Westbrook's anniversary celebration in Positano, and shot an editorial feature at Villa Zagara in Sorrento. Our base on the French Riviera puts the coast within a short flight.
The villages and venues
Positano is the postcard: pastel houses stacked down a near-vertical hillside to the Spiaggia Grande, with Il San Pietro and a handful of cliffside hotels built directly into the rock. A few minutes further along the coast road, Praiano offers the same drama with a fraction of the crowd, and is where several of our couples choose to stay away from the day-trippers.
Ravello sits higher and quieter, 350 metres above the water, with Villa Cimbrone's Terrace of Infinity and the gardens of Villa Rufolo among the most photographed wedding backdrops in Italy. Amalfi town itself keeps the coast's maritime history ... the Duomo di Sant'Andrea above its sweeping staircase, and a marina that still feels like a working port rather than a film set.
Sorrento, on the northern tip of the peninsula, trades cliff drama for lemon groves and a gentler cliffside over the Bay of Naples, with private villas ... Villa Zagara among them ... that host weddings away from the coast's busier towns. Capri is a short boat ride from any of these, and a favourite choice for an extra day of celebration.
What an Amalfi Coast wedding weekend needs
The coast road, the SS163, is narrow, single-lane in places, and can turn a fifteen-minute drive into an hour in August traffic. Boats are frequently faster and more reliable than cars between venues, so we build transfers into the filming plan rather than trusting a schedule to the road.
Most of the weddings we film here run two or three days across more than one village, with a welcome dinner in one town and the ceremony in another. The light is unusually generous ... the cliffs hold a soft, warm glow well into the evening ... but the heat in July and August means ceremonies are frequently pushed late, which we plan the whole day around.
— A Closer Look
An Editorial Shoot at Villa Zagara, Sorrento
Villa Zagara is a private villa in Sorrento, set among lemon groves above the Bay of Naples ... exactly the kind of address that does not appear on a venue list but is available to couples who know to ask. We shot this editorial feature there with a full creative team, from the bridal styling to the final sparkler-lit cake cutting, and it remains one of our favourite days on the Amalfi Coast.

Frequently asked
Do you film weddings on the Amalfi Coast?
Yes. We have filmed Russell and Nina Westbrook's anniversary celebration in Positano and shot an editorial feature at Villa Zagara in Sorrento, and we take on weddings across the coast ... Positano, Praiano, Ravello, Amalfi and Sorrento.
How much does an Amalfi Coast wedding videographer cost?
Collections start at 15,000 USD. The coast's multi-village weekends, boat transfers and cliffside logistics mean the crew and schedule are usually a little larger than a single-venue wedding, which is reflected in the final quote.
Which Amalfi Coast venues have you filmed at?
Positano, for Russell and Nina Westbrook's anniversary film, and Villa Zagara, a private villa in Sorrento, for an editorial shoot. We are glad to discuss any venue along the coast, including Ravello and Praiano.
Is it difficult to film a wedding across the Amalfi Coast's cliffside venues?
It takes planning rather than difficulty. The coast road is narrow and slows to a crawl in high season, so we move crew and equipment by boat wherever it is faster, and we scout the staircases and transfer points before the wedding day rather than on it.
Do you fly a drone on the Amalfi Coast?
Our aerial cinematographer is licensed to fly in Italy. Some cliffside venues and protected stretches of coastline restrict drone flight regardless of licensing ... we confirm what is possible at your specific venue before you book.
How long until we receive our film?
Films typically arrive four to eight weeks after the wedding, depending on the season's workload. Where a collection includes an Instagram reel cut, that usually comes together within a few days. It is always an estimate rather than a fixed date ... every wedding's schedule and workload are different, so we would rather be honest about the range than promise something we can't guarantee.
