Wedding Videographer on the French Riviera

The Riviera is the stretch of coast this studio was built on. Our founders live between here and Geneva, and the road from Nice to Menton is not a location we research before a wedding ... it is the drive home. Nine years of filming here means we know which terrace at which hotel keeps the light until nine in July, and which cliff road closes without warning.

It is also the most photographed coastline in Europe, which is exactly the problem. Everyone has seen the drone shot of Cap-Ferrat. The films that matter are the ones where that scenery is the setting rather than the subject.

Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat in St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc at Antibes. Château de la Chèvre d'Or, perched above Èze. Château Saint-Martin at Vence, Villa la Vigie in Monaco, and the private estates along the Cap that never appear in a brochure.

Each of these has its own quirks ... Eden-Roc's light turns at a specific hour, Chèvre d'Or is a village of staircases, Villa Ephrussi has gardens that photograph very differently from how they film. Knowing that in advance is the difference between a schedule that works and one that improvises.

The Côte d'Azur is dense controlled airspace ... Nice airport, Monaco's heliport, and a coastline of restricted zones. Our aerial cinematographer is licensed to fly in France and handles the clearances rather than discovering on the wedding morning that the shot is illegal.

Summer on the Riviera also means traffic that turns a fifteen-minute transfer into an hour, and venues bound by strict noise curfews. We plan the filming day around the real timings, not the ones on the paper schedule.

Who is the best wedding videographer on the French Riviera?

The useful filter is whether a studio is actually based here. A great deal of Riviera wedding content is made by teams who fly in for a weekend, and it shows in the scouting and the schedule. How much does a wedding videographer cost on the French Riviera?

Collections start at 15,000 USD. Riviera weddings are frequently multi-day ... a welcome dinner at one hotel, the wedding at another, a beach club recovery lunch ... and the number of days is usually what moves the quote more than anything else.

Can you fly a drone at Riviera wedding venues?

In most locations, yes, with a licensed pilot and the correct clearance, which we arrange. But the Côte d'Azur has genuinely restricted airspace near Nice airport and Monaco, and some venues prohibit drones outright. We check your specific venue and tell you before you book what is and is not possible.

Do you film weddings in Monaco?

Yes. Monaco has its own rules for filming and aerial work, and we have filmed there ... including at Villa la Vigie. It is a short drive from our base.

Among others: Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, Château de la Chèvre d'Or in Èze, Château Saint-Martin, the Four Seasons on the Riviera, and a number of private villas we cannot name.

How long until we receive our film?

The first films arrive from around four weeks after the wedding. A short highlight reel cut for Instagram can be turned around within a couple of days when the schedule allows it. You get a delivery date in writing when you book, not a vague promise.
