Wedding Videographer in Provence

Provence is the quietest of the French wedding regions and, on film, the most forgiving. Stone, olive trees, long tables under plane trees and a light that stays golden for well over an hour ... it is a landscape that rewards patience rather than spectacle.

We have filmed château weddings, vineyard celebrations and couture shoots across the region, from Château d'Estoublon in the Alpilles to the hill villages around Gordes.

Château d'Estoublon near Les Baux, the domaines around Aix and the Luberon, restored mas with courtyards built for long dinners, and the hill villages ... Gordes, Ménerbes, Bonnieux ... where a five-minute drive changes the entire backdrop.

Provençal venues are often family estates rather than hotels. That means fewer staff, more improvisation, and a filming plan that has to be self-sufficient.

A July wedding in Provence is thirty-five degrees at four in the afternoon and perfect at eight. Ceremonies get moved late for exactly that reason, which compresses the couple session into a short golden window ... we plan for it rather than lose it.

The mistral is the other local variable. It can ground a drone for an afternoon, so we build aerial coverage across the whole weekend rather than pinning it to one hour.

Do you film weddings in Provence?

Yes ... château, vineyard and private mas weddings across the Luberon, the Alpilles, Gordes and Aix-en-Provence. We have filmed at Château d'Estoublon among others, and Provence is a couple of hours from our Riviera base.

How much does a Provence wedding videographer cost?

Collections start at 15,000 USD. Provençal weddings are often two or three days with a welcome dinner and a lazy Sunday lunch, and the number of days is the main factor in the quote.

Can you film a multi-faith or mixed-religion ceremony?

Yes. We filmed Sandra and Pedro's mixed-religion ceremony at Château d'Estoublon, and we have filmed Jewish, Catholic, Hindu and civil ceremonies elsewhere. We ask about the running order in advance so nothing is missed.

What if the mistral is blowing on our wedding day?

Drones stay grounded when it is unsafe or illegal to fly, so we spread aerial coverage across the weekend rather than depending on a single window. Ground coverage is unaffected.

Is Provence better than the Riviera for a wedding film?

Different, not better. Provence is quieter, greener and softer on camera, with long golden evenings. The Riviera is bluer, more dramatic and more glamorous. Couples who want calm usually choose Provence; couples who want spectacle choose the coast.

How long until we receive our film?

The first films arrive from around four weeks after the wedding. A short highlight reel cut for Instagram can be turned around within a couple of days when the schedule allows it. You get a delivery date in writing when you book, not a vague promise.
